ashley and me

Thanksgiving 2006.

I wanted to take a photo with my cousin’s darling baby daughter Ashley; however, it turns out that she was much more interested in the camera than me. Technology 1 - Jennie 0.

I’ve found that taking pictures of little kids with digital cameras is really easy. Just show them their images on the LCDs and they go nuts! After that, they can’t wait to pose and see themselves again.

You are totally on the money! Ashley is so tech-savvy, it’s wild! When she knows people are taking pictures of her, she’ll toddle over to the photographer and pull on their wrist to see the display. I don’t think that’s helping her get over her shyness because she still doesn’t like posing with me but maybe it’s a start (or maybe she just doesn’t like me.)
