Oh the carnage - what a slippery finish to the 11th stage at the Giro on Wednesday. It’s hard for me to watch a cycling crash but it’s… kind of fascinating…

edit Well, MLB has gone and made YouTube remove the video - booo.

Ok, that’s not really why I watch baseball but it is part of why I love it.

Tiffany came to visit me in San Francisco for my birthday! Five fun filled days of exploring San Francisco with my lovely sister.

Some of the things we saw:

+ carnivorous plants at The Conservatory of Flowers (chomp! slurp!)
+ sea otters, river otters, an enormous sunfish at the Monterey Bay Aquarium
+ hang gliders and lots of awesome dogs at Fort Funston
+ some pink plastic flamingos at work dressed up in sombreros (some people at Google have way too much time on their hands)
+ asparagus and cherries growing along 101-S
+ the cable that pulls the cable cars stop unexpectedly (with us onboard, unfortunately)
+ fiesty sealions at Pier 39

We had such a good time that I even didn’t get a chance to take many pictures.
