Wintery

This past Saturday, I was at the checkout of my local grocery store, paying for my things and my cashier remarked “kind of an ugly day outside huh?”  The sky was indeed overcast but not extremely so, it was just a cool, gray December day - I didn’t think it was ugly at all.  It seemed so normal to me, until I realized that this may not be the normal December weather for San Francisco.

Another gray day today again, this time cooler with rain - this feels about right for the first week in December.  Is it weird that I actually like this weather?  Maybe I need more time here in the Bay Area (or a dose of East coast winter bitterness) to appreciate a home that doesn’t get cold or snowy or dreary for any prolonged periods of time.
